Five indicted, four arrested in human trafficking ring in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Five people have been indicted and four have been arrested in connection with an alleged human trafficking ring in north Columbus, according to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.

In a news release, Yost said police were tipped off to the alleged ring by a survivor with developmental disabilities.

Investigators later learned the ring was allegedly led by Derrick Soto, who is suspected of luring women with drugs and false promises into performing sex acts for his own profit…
