COLUMBUS, Ohio — A state workgroup is recommending Ohio move away from school district-run student busing toward regional transportation networks that would serve students across multiple districts, and charter and private schools.
This proposal is part of a May 8, 2026, draft report by the Ohio Pupil Transportation Workgroup, which wrestled this school year with a busing problem that has become more complex than driving from Point A to Point B.
