COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – After nearly two decades, a Columbus-based nonprofit that helps feed those in need is winding down operations.
Local Matters, at 633 Parsons Ave. just south of Downtown, will hold its final day of programming Saturday, the organization announced in a May 29 Facebook post. The nonprofit cited funding cuts as a factor in its decision to close.
“No decision as a board has been harder than this one,” board chair Luka Papalko said in a news release. “We exhausted every option before arriving here – and that doesn’t make it hurt any less.” See latest headlines from NBC4 in the video player above.
