Central Ohio company issues recall for pepperoni rolls

LANCASTER, Ohio (WCMH) — Fry Pie Factory issued a recall Friday for pepperoni rolls due to misbranding and improper storage temperatures.

The Ohio Department of Agriculture said the voluntary recall affects five-ounce pepperoni rolls that were sold at grocery stores, gas stations, and convenience stores in Ohio and West Virginia.

The rolls were not kept at appropriate temperatures, which could increase risk for a food-borne illness. The rolls also did not declare milk, which is a known allergen, according to ODA. See the latest headlines from NBC4 in the player above.
