More than an inch of rain possible as storms move into Northeast Ohio

A round of steady rain and scattered thunderstorms will move through Cleveland and northern Ohio beginning Sunday night and continuing into Monday, bringing rainfall totals of 0.75 to 1.25 inches to the region, with locally higher amounts possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain will spread across the area from west to east Sunday night as low pressure approaches from the Mid-Mississippi Valley. The heaviest rainfall is expected across the northern portions of the forecast area, while southern counties are likely to see lighter totals closer to a half to three-quarters of an inch, forecasters said. Throughout the day, Northeast Ohio will see a high of 75 and a low of 60 in the evening.
