When second-half property taxes for Franklin and Delaware counties will be due in 2026

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Property owners in Franklin and Delaware counties should soon receive their delayed second-half property tax bills as county officials work to implement changes required by a new Ohio law.

The Franklin County Treasurer’s Office told NBC4 its third-party vendor expects to mail second-half tax bills no later than June 26. The due date for those bills is July 20.

However, Franklin County property owners might want to check the treasurer’s website before making a payment. In addition to the billing delay tied to Ohio House Bill 186, the office is experiencing “ongoing system processing errors,” and some of the bills “may contain inaccuracies, including erroneously applied penalties or additional charges.”

The office instructs property owners to search an online list of more than 1,600 parcels and contact the treasurer’s office at (614) 525-3438 to verify their account balance and ensure their billing statement is accurate before making a payment…
