OHIO (WXIX) – The Ohio Department of Health is asking for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for help amid the cyclosporiasis outbreak in northeast Ohio, according to Hamilton County Public Health.
The CDC says it’s sending several “disease detectives” to the state for about three weeks to assist with the cyclosporiasis investigation.
Federal health officials will be talking with people who’ve tested positive for the parasite in order to identify common locations and foods, and coordinate with the state on outbreak tracing efforts…
