COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio shoppers will soon have the chance to save money on back-to-school purchases when the state’s annual sales tax holiday returns next month.
The tax holiday runs from Aug. 7 through Aug. 9, allowing shoppers to purchase qualifying school supplies, instructional materials and clothing without paying state or local sales tax.
According to the Ohio Department of Taxation, clothing priced at $75 or less qualifies for the exemption. School supplies and instructional materials priced at $20 or less are also tax exempt during the three-day holiday.
