COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Two Ohio men with a YouTube channel documenting their outdoor adventures were sentenced on a combined 40 charges related to deer poaching, wildlife officials said in a new release Friday morning.
According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the Division of Wildlife conducted a poaching investigation in conjunction with Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks into two Columbus men who recorded their deer hunting quests over five years. The year-long investigation uncovered evidence that William Bethel and Justin Booth were hunting in Three Creeks Metro Parks and other properties where the men did not have permission to do so.

Bethel, 28, and Booth, 23, who are known on YouTube as Creek Kings Outdoors, both claimed to have harvested deer in Kentucky, but the investigation revealed that the suspects unlawfully took the deer from Ohio.
The duo was charged in September 2025 and sentenced in May; each defendant pleaded guilty to the following 20 counts. It’s unclear why officials waited until July to distribute the news…
