Ohio wildlife officials searching for cause of bat deaths

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Something unusual is happening across Ohio and researchers don’t know why.

Wildlife officials said that for the second year in a row, large numbers of bats are being found sick, dying or dead across the state.

Bats across Ohio are already suffering from a winter disease called white-nose syndrome. Now bats are mysteriously dying in the summer too. One central Ohio woman reached out to Better Call 4 after finding multiple dead bats at her home.
