DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Data centers have become a battleground nationally, statewide, and in cities, towns, and villages across Ohio, but now those communities also have to contend with the aftershocks: electric grid expansion.
Harmony Township is a small township of just over 3,500 residents, and it’s just over 50 square miles, but that hasn’t stopped grid growth ventures from planning 12 massive segments of transmission lines through the township. And that’s just a taste of the project they have planned for the rest of Ohio to fulfill the growing need for electricity from data centers.
