Ohio dispensary closed for investigation after two report serious health reactions

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (WOWK) – Specialty retailer Vext Science, Inc. shut down one of its cannabis dispensaries in Ohio after two people reportedly suffered from serious health reactions possibly due to purchased products.

The company said in a Friday release that the Herbal Wellness Center dispensary in Jackson was voluntarily closed pending the results of an investigation by the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control (DCC).

“The Company is fully cooperating with the DCC’s ongoing investigation. As part of that cooperation, Vext has provided product samples for independent testing and has voluntarily quarantined certain product lines across its Ohio retail and manufacturing locations pending the results of such testing. All inventory has previously passed all mandated state-licensed laboratory testing,” the release said…
