Bullet fired in Worthington Hills neighborhood narrowly missed sleeping child, court records allege

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man is facing several felony charges after he reportedly fired multiple gunshots at homes and vehicles in the Worthington Hills neighborhood earlier this month.

On Sept. 14, court documents state that around 9 p.m., 30-year-old Matthew Ball was driving erratically and firing a weapon from his Chevrolet Silverado along Fairway Drive and Clubview Boulevard.

According to the affidavit, one witness reported that she was forced to swerve into a driveway to avoid being struck head-on by Ball. That witness reported hearing the shots fired, and she was forced to duck down due to her fear of being shot…
