How to get ‘GateSide’ clearance to visit someone at the Columbus airport

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Friends and family dropping off or picking up loved ones at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) can now wait directly at the gate, thanks to a new reservation system with pre-approved security clearance.

The Columbus Regional Airport Authority recently announced that CMH is among a select group of airports nationwide now allowing non-travelers to pass through security without a boarding pass. The new program, called GateSide by TSA PreCheck, requires visitors to complete several clearance steps before entry.
