‘It’s a warning sign’: Ohio wildlife rescue warns of increased threats to local species after record admissions

TOLEDO, Ohio — A wildlife rescue in northwest Ohio is sounding the alarm after it said it received the highest number of admissions in its 37-year history.

Nature’s Nursery, based in Waterville, said it admitted animal number 3,900 for the year on Wednesday. Officials said it eclipses all previous records with months remaining in the year.
