COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A freshman at Northland High School in Columbus is getting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The Columbus City Schools student’s design was chosen as the winner of a national competition with the Boys and Girls Club of America to be featured on a Lexus car wrap.

Leti Mondragon, 14, said this isn’t something she saw coming and the whole process has helped her come out of her shell.
“It’s crazy,” she said. “I wasn’t expecting any of this.”
Mondragon is the winner of a nationwide contest sponsored by Lexus.
The company picked Leti’s “Mother’s Nature”-inspired design out of 80 finalists from Boys and Girls Clubs across the country.
Mondragon said the Boys and Girls Club plays a big role in her life.

“Pretty important, actually,” she said. “I planned on not coming anymore because I’m scared, but, you know, I’m still here.”
