We didn’t do this,’ Chase customers insist after finding $24,000 missing from account – but bank says they were to blame

A FRUSTRATED couple had $24,000 stolen from their Chase Bank account after being hacked and the company has reportedly left them with no options to get it back.

Eric and Brenda Nickolas of Pataskala, Ohio, about 20 miles east of Columbus said someone took out the funds in four separate transactions and made it look like it was them who did so.

Their Chase Bank account was hacked in 2023 around July 4 while the Nickolas’ were out of town in Florida.

“$4,300, $7,900, $6,900, and $4,200, and I asked my wife, ‘Have you moved money out of our home equity line of credit,” Nickolas told NBC affiliate WCMH-TV in Columbus of his conversation with Chase.

Nickolas was instantly confused and figured if he called Chase the money would have to be refunded since it was clearly not him.
