These central Ohio schools will be closed for the upcoming total solar eclipse

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Many schools in central Ohio are planning to cancel classes or have an early release day so kids have the chance to see the total solar eclipse on April 8. Parts of Ohio will be in total darkness for a few brief moments during totality and the remainder of the state will see the sun at least 95% blocked by the moon. The last time the state has seen a total eclipse like this was in 1806, making this a once-in-a-lifetime event.
