LANCASTER − Kylee Young and Karlee Mason lost their jobs when the small local business they worked at closed. But there weren’t down long, as they recently opened K&K Cafe at 554 W. Sixth St.
“We’re a small café,” Young said. “We serve breakfast and lunch. We’re currently open everyday but Mondays. Unfortunately, at the time we aren’t doing dinner, but we’re hoping to expand once we get going a little bit more.”
The new business has received good reviews on social media.
“Yes, we’ve seen that,” Young said. “We are so grateful for everybody and the wonderful feedback. We serve a lot of breakfast. Our breakfast buster (two biscuits serve with two eggs, hash browns or home fries topped with sausage gravy) is a big hit. Chicken waffles has become a pretty big thing. Our smash burghers, we sell a lot of those. People are really liking those at lunch.”
