One critical after road rage shooting in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – Columbus police are investigating after one person was found shot in northeast Columbus Wednesday.

At approximately 6:35 p.m. police were dispatched to the intersection of Morse Road and Malin Street due to reports of a shooting. Officers eventually located the victim with a gunshot wound at the intersection of the 3600 block of Morse Road and Sunbury Road, near a hotel.

A Columbus police sergeant at the scene said the victim was dropped off at the hotel after being shot at a different location. Police said the shooting could be from a road rage incident and that nothing happened at or inside the hotel.

The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition and is expected to survive their injuries.
