At about midnight on Tuesday, February 6, Noble County Deputy J.R. Perry stopped a vehicle on Interstate 77 for no visible license plate. Deputy Perry identified the driver and one passenger in the vehicle. Shortly after the stop, Sgt. T.D. Connolly arrived on scene to assist.

Sgt. Connolly informed the driver to step out of the vehicle so his K9 could safely conduct an open-air sniff around the vehicle.

The driver, Tascha Andrews, 47, of Columbus Ohio, allegedly refused to exit the vehicle. Andrews then allegedly locked the vehicle doors, put the car in drive and took off at a high rate of speed.

Deputy Perry and Sgt. Connolly ran to their vehicles and began pursuing Andrews at speeds that exceeded 100 mph.
