Two hospitalized in four-vehicle crash on I-71

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A crash early Saturday morning on a north Columbus highway sent two people to the hospital.

Police heard reports of a four-vehicle crash just after 3:45 a.m. on Interstate 71 north at East 17th Avenue, according to a police dispatcher. While multiple people were treated at the scene, two were taken to the hospital.

Five injured after multi-vehicle crash in north Columbus

One victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition while another was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital. The condition of the victim at Riverside is unknown, according to a police dispatcher.

The roadway was shutdown for more than three hours as far back as Interstate 670 and reopened around 8 a.m. Click here for the latest traffic conditions .
