Politicians like Gov. DeWine shouldn’t approve or create districts: Period.

We need to remove politics completely from redistricting

Gov. Mike DeWine doesn’t really understand the Citizens Not Politicians anti-gerrymandering amendment set for the November election.

It is modeled after the Michigan amendment . Why didn’t he mention that in his news conference?

Instead, he promoted the Iowa model , a plan that still requires the approval of the state legislature and governor.

He said we needed to get politicians out of the business of drawing districts. Well, that includes getting them out of the business of approving districts too.

The Michigan model is working just fine. We need to approve our similar model in November and finally get politics out of the drawing and approving of districts.
