‘Rome is burning:’ taxpayers want school closure vote as costly CCS projects continue

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) – The Columbus City Schools Board of Education meets Tuesday for the first time after not taking a vote on school mergers and closures in June. “We are going to be coming back for more money. It is what it is,” said school board member Jennifer Adair at that last meeting while addressing members from the public who wanted to keep certain schools open. “Operating buildings that are not at capacity are not a smart investment.”
