Circleville Police Acting Chief Farrelly placed on administrative leave

Circleville Acting Deputy Police Chief Jon Farrelly was placed on administrative leave Monday.

“This decision is part of an ongoing investigation and is a routine procedure designed to ensure a fair and impartial process,” Circleville Police Department posted to social media around 5 p.m.

“It is important to emphasize that this action does not imply any prejudgment or conclusions regarding Acting Deputy Chief Farrelly. The investigation is being conducted with the utmost thoroughness, and all relevant facts will be carefully reviewed to ensure a complete and accurate assessment of the situation.”

Acting Police Chief Kenny Fisher requested that an outside agency conduct the investigation.

“The Circleville Police Department is committed to maintaining transparency and integrity throughout this process,” CPD said. “However, to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, no further details will be disclosed at this time. Our top priority remains the well-being and safety of our community. We appreciate the public’s understanding and patience as we work diligently to ensure that this matter is handled with the seriousness and professionalism it deserves.”
