Urban Meyer ‘anxious’ to see Ohio State offense under Chip Kelly

Chip Kelly “drastically” changed his offensive philosophy in the 13 years since he left Oregon. His new-look approach is a perfect fit at Ohio State, according to former Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer. Kelly helped revolutionize the modern offense during his four-year stint in Eugene. His up-tempo, no-huddle offenses consistently ranked top-five nationally in plays per game. Though Kelly’s UCLA squad ranked No. 8 in that metric last fall, the Bruins’ 72.1 plays per game fell well short of the 81.4 his last Ducks team averaged in 2012. It’s that subtle change that’s impressed Meyer.
