In 1995, Colin Carmichael thought he was going to be the next head coach at the University of South Alabama. Less than one year later, the Scotland native found himself in Stillwater, Oklahoma, helping Karen Hancock start a program for the second time after visa issues brought his candidacy to be the next coach at South Alabama to a halt.
