Burger and custard chain opening first central Ohio location

GROVE CITY, Ohio ( WCMH ) – A burger and custard chain with over 400 restaurants across the United States is opening its first central Ohio location.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is set to open at 4108 Buckeye Parkway in Grove City by mid-October, according to a spokesperson. Another central Ohio Freddy’s is under construction and set to open by the end of this year at 1719 Hilliard Rome Road in the Sweetwater neighborhood. Freddy’s has 19 other eateries in the state.

Founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002, Freddy’s serves frozen custard and shakes, such as its chocolate brownie delight and pumpkin pie shake. The chain also serves burgers, where each patty is “pressed thin to create deliciously crispy edges” and finished with Freddy’s seasoning, according to its website.

Other menu items include grilled cheese, chicken sandwiches, hotdogs and a veggie burger. Sides include fries, onion rings, cheese curds and chili cheese fries.

The brand focuses on “quality, hospitality, cleanliness and timeless traditions,” according to Freddy’s website. The restaurant was named the eighth-fastest growing chain in America by Restaurant Business.
