Cameron Mitchell’s Butcher & Rose in Downtown to add lunch service

Butcher & Rose, the second of two new Cameron Mitchell restaurants to open this year in Columbus, will begin lunch service Sept. 23.

The high-end steakhouse, where dinnertime cuts of beef start at $68 and go up to $150 or more, will offer a pared-down lunch menu in dishes and, for some, in price. A 6-ounce filet will be $49 and a 14-ounce New York strip will be $63. The menu also includes salmon, roasted chicken, salads and sandwiches.

Some offerings on both menus are priced the same, such as a $66 king crab brulĂ©e, $19 lobster bisque and $23 wagyu cheeseburger. One strictly lunch item: the $24 “square meal,” which includes a turkey-and-Swiss sandwich on a pretzel roll, salad, soup and chocolate cake.

The restaurant is taking lunch reservations now on its website for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for dates starting Sept. 23.

Butcher & Rose opened for dinner service in July at 155 E. Broad St. , in the PNC headquarters building that has been renamed as the Preston Centre. Cameron Mitchell Restaurants also opened Del Mar, a Mediterranean-style seafood restaurant, in April at Easton Town Center.
