Adoptable dog looking for a good home during her healing journey

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — Sadie, a dog at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center, is looking for a home that will help her through a medical procedure.

The 4-year-old mixed breed dog first arrived at the shelter in May, after being found as a stray. She was later diagnosed with a luxating patella in her right hind leg, and the shelter plans to schedule her for an orthopedic consult to decide the best action to help her. Behavior Coordinator Becca Moser said she will most likely need a medical foster while she heals from a possible medical procedure.

Still, Sadie’s a high-spirited, affectionate girl, and could be a great companion for a family or person that enjoys regular exercise. Moser said she can be a little timid meeting new people, but warms up quickly as long as some treats are in play.

“Sadie loves to be close to her people, and there’s nothing she enjoys more than belly rubs and butt scratches,” Moser wrote. “She’s a true people pleaser, and her affectionate nature shines through as she leans in for cuddles and attention.”
