COLUMBUS, OH – A new restaurant has come to the city’s University District neighborhood.
Are you craving Mediterranean fare? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to check out the new restaurant Shawarma Joe’s, which is located in Columbus at 14 E 11th Ave. According to the restaurant’s social media account, Shawarma Joe’s celebrated its grand opening on September 16.
The restaurant’s menu features customizable wraps, pitas, and bowls. You start with one of these protein options: chicken, crispy chicken, steak, or falafel. Then you can add toppings like hummus, garlic, jalapeno, lettuce, onion, coleslaw, cabbage, cucumber, and/or tomato. You can then add one of these sauces: tahini, garlic, hot sauce, BBQ, or Joe’s sauce. Prices range from $7.99 to $17.99.
As for sides, the restaurant has options like house-made hummus, basmati rice (which is seasoned with cardamon), falafel, freshly baked pita bread, and fries. Side prices range from $1.99 to $5.99.
