The Kentucky Humane Society is actively caring for 35 horses at Willow Hope Farm after rescuing 10 in emaciated and neglectful conditions in Franklin County Wednesday morning. Kentucky Humane Society Public Relations and Marketing Director Andrea Mattingly told The Courier Journal they’d initially received calls for assistance in a neglect case where they believed there were seven horses in need. When the team arrived, they’d found 13 in poor conditions without access to food, water or shelter.
