COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — Three people were injured after an apartment fire in east Columbus Sunday evening.
According to Columbus Division of Fire Battalion Chief Jeffrey Geitter, the fire was reported in one apartment of a two-story, four-apartment building on the 3300 block of Broadmoor Avenue. Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 5:45 p.m.
One person was hospitalized in stable condition; the nature of their injury has not been disclosed. Two others, who fire officials were bystanders who tried to help out, were treated at the scene for injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
