COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — Two people have died and another has been arrested after a multi-car crash in southwest Columbus on New Year’s Day.
Authorities responded to the scene at the intersection of Alkire and Norton roads at 12:55 a.m. on Wednesday where at least two cars crashed, according to the Columbus Division of Police. One person was pronounced dead on the scene and the second was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 1:42 a.m.
Police said one person was arrested for operating a vehicle while impaired. Other details, like the identities of the victims, have yet to be released.
