FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Wednesday Evening,
It has been a more seasonal start to the new year, after the warmest year on record just closed in Columbus. We will continue to see light snow showers, or a very light wet mix this evening with no accumulations expected. Temps will slowly fall into the upper to middle 20s overnight with mainly cloudy skies. On Thursday expect mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies, with highs back into the middle 30s.
Thursday late, mainly a couple hours after sunset, a cold frontal system will approach our area, this will bring in snow showers Thursday evening, with snow showers continuing overnight and into the Friday morning commute. This does appear to be a good chance at seeing accumulating snowfall, and quite likely our heaviest snowfall of the season (currently that is only 0.3″).
