Ohio State has been the most dialed-in team through two rounds of the College Football Playoff. After wins over Tennessee and Oregon, the Buckeyes now have Texas on their schedule next in the Cotton Bowl .
The Buckeyes have looked like a different team since their disappointing loss to Michigan in the final game of their regular season. Ohio State is clicking on all cylinders through two playoff games.
Will Howard and the offense specifically have been excellent as of late. Howard has been exactly what the Buckeyes had hoped for when they got him out of the transfer portal 366 days ago from Kansas State.
On Sunday, Ohio State starting tight end Gee Scott Jr. shared the same thought that much of Buckeye Nation likely has on Howard.
“I can only imagine if he had two years here what he’d be able to accomplish,” stated Scott.
Howard has completed 73 percent of his passes for 3,490 yards, 32 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions. Additionally, Howard has seven rushing touchdowns to his resume this season. Last season, Howard threw 24 touchdown passes and for 2,643 yards at Kansas State. It was the best season he had to that point, but he has upped it this season.
