FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Storm Team 4 continues to track additional chances for showers and thunderstorm this Saturday. Some of those storms at times may be severe. Though that risk remains relatively low, it is still important to remain weather aware through the afternoon and evening hours.

All of Ohio is under a marginal risk for severe weather. The hazards most likely to occur will be strong winds and heavy rain. Some pockets of hail are still possible. There is a very low end risk for an isolated tornado.

After the threat of severe weather ends, there will be continued showers overnight into Sunday morning. Rain totals between today, tonight, and tomorrow will range between 1″-2″ across central Ohio. Showers will finally start to taper off by midday Sunday.

Breezy conditions are expected pick up as well regardless of thunderstorm activity. Wind gusts are forecast to exceed 40 mph a times this afternoon. Things will stabilize going into Sunday night.

Monday kicks off the new work week on a much different not. Plenty of sunshine is expected on St. Patrick’s day, but air temperatures will be much cooler only reaching the mid 50s.
