Gahanna tattoo community remembers artist who lost cancer battle

GAHANNA, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A central Ohio tattoo community is mourning the loss of one of their own after Richard Cook, 45, lost his battle to cancer on March 1.

Cook owned GreyStone Tattoo Company in Gahanna with his wife, Karli. There were some initial concerns about his shop remaining open. But his fellow artists said he never quit on anybody, so they can’t give up on his dreams.

Cook had been battling multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, for years. But continued to tattoo when he could. Karli Cook said that was his driving force. He always wanted to get back to work as soon as he could.
