We’ve known these closures were going to happen since the beginning of the year, and now we’ve entered the final days of operation for some popular stores in the Midwest.
It was back on January 10 (2025) that Wisconsin-based Kohl’s Department Store announced it would be closing more than two dozen stores, according to ChainStorage.com.
Kohl’s Enters Final Days of Store Closures
America’s largest department store chain, headquartered in Menonmenee Falls, Wisconsin, revealed that of their 1,150 locations, 27 stores and a fulfillment center are underperforming and would be closing down by April 2025.
According to the list posted on ChainStorage, most of the Kohl’s that are on the chopping block are located in California or on the East Coast, there were some stores in the Midwest that would close their doors.
