2 motorcyclists dead after being hit by vehicles in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two motorcyclists were killed when they were hit by multiple vehicles on a highway in northeast Columbus early Sunday morning, according to a public safety dispatcher.

First responders were called to state Route 161 at mile-marker 43, near Interstate 270, just before 1:45 a.m. on a report of a crash.

The two motorcyclists were reportedly heading eastbound on Route 161 near Ulry Road before being ejected from their motorcycles. Both motorcyclists were then struck by oncoming traffic and were pronounced dead at the scene by medics, police said…
