A tragic accident on the intersection of Champion Avenue and Frebis Avenue claimed the life of a driver on Sunday. At approximately 2:35 PM, a Chevy Silverado Pickup truck heading north on Champion Avenue collided with a Lincoln MKC just as the road merged into a single lane at the intersection. The impact sent both vehicles crashing into parked cars on the street, according to a Columbus Division of Police press release.
Passing the intersection at the time of the incident, both the pickup truck’s driver was taken to Grant Hospital in a stable condition and subsequently arrested on unrelated existing warrants.
