March tornado confirmed in Franklin County

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A tornado was confirmed by the National Weather Service from last month.

According to the NWS, the tornado touched down near Obetz around 10:10 p.m. on March 30. Rated an EF0, it had a wind speed peak of about 85 miles per hour, a path length of about 2.58 miles, and a path width of about 250 yards.

The tornado likely began south of the I-270 west of Lockbourne Road, the NWS said. Damage was noted to carports at Enchanted Mobile Home Park. Roof and siding damage was found north of Groveport Road. Some trees were uprooted…
