SB 153 would cause Ohio voting hurdles for women and others: Letter to the Editor

What is going on with all the attacks on birth certificates? We live hopefully long lives beyond that one moment in time. Things can change. They attacked persons’ rights who have transitioned medically to the opposite sex than what is on their birth certificates. Now, they are attacking the rights of women, especially married women who changed their names, but not only.

My father legally had our last name changed after my sisters’ birth. Luckily for me, he did so before my birth, but not luckily for my sisters, because now they will have to prove that they are the same person as named on their birth certificates, should Ohio Senate Bill 153 , to “Require citizenship verification before an elector may vote,” become law…
