COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — Although Cinco de Mayo falls on Monday, May 5, this year, many restaurant specials are happening now to give celebrators more time to enjoy.
May 5, known as the holiday Cinco de Mayo, commemorates Mexico’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 and has become a popular U.S. celebration of Mexican culture, cuisine and heritage, according to History.com.
