COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputy was attacked by a dog after a traffic stop in the North Central part of Columbus on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were attempting a traffic stop at approximately 2 p.m. when the driver of the vehicle failed to stop. After a brief chase, the driver stopped near the intersection of Mock Road and Century Drive and then ran from the car.
As the deputy began to chase the suspect, a pitbull jumped from the driver’s side of the suspect’s car and attacked the deputy, biting him on the face. A second deputy on the scene shot and killed the dog…
