A cold front will move through tonight which will spark a few more showers. Temperatures will fall into the 50s statewide. Sunshine will break out first across the southwest on Saturday with temperatures warming to the low 70s. Clouds will be a little slower to clear across the northeast with highs only reaching the mid and upper 50s. A breezy wind out of the northwest will usher in wildfire smoke from Canada over the weekend. Look out for hazy/milky skies and redder than normal sunrises and sunsets. Sunday will be the pick day with the most sunshine. Temperatures will trend above normal levels to kick off the work week.

One of the two Mifflin Township officers injured in a shooting Wednesday night has been discharged from the hospital, said Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #9 President Brian Steel. The other officer had to undergo surgery and is stable in the ICU, Steel said.
