Taxpayers bear cost of medical bills for man accused of shooting two police officers

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Franklin County taxpayers are covering the rising medical bills for the suspect accused of trying to murder Mifflin Township police officers, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Tuesday.

Daveonte Dixon shot himself in the face during a SWAT standoff following a two-day-long manhunt last month, according to the sheriff’s office.
