Eight indicted for helping Mifflin Township shootout suspect evade police

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A Franklin County grand jury has indicted eight individuals who are accused of assisting a man evade police after he allegedly shot two Mifflin Township police officers last month.

A release from the county’s prosecuting attorney Shayla Favor said that eight people were each indicted for one count of obstructing justice. All eight are alleged to have hindered police’s efforts to arrest 21-year-old Daveonte Dixon and that all had prior knowledge he faced a felony arrest warrant. The following five women and three men were indicted:

  • Nathan Brown, 22
  • Jennifer Dale, 25
  • Namina Goler, 20
  • Isaiah Ingle, 23
  • Grace Mellon, 23
  • Kaitlyn Mellon, 25
  • Elijah Robinson, 22
  • Au’Nusti Solomon, 21

Nathan Brown was also indicted for one count each of unlawful possession of a dangerous ordinance and unlawful transaction in weapons. Court documents said he possessed a pistol with a “Glock switch” to make it an automatic weapon.

All of the suspects will be arraigned Friday at 1 p.m., except for Dale, who will be arraigned on July 9.
