No suspects in 2023 fatal shooting outside North Linden Family Dollar

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Columbus police are stuck in neutral in the investigation of a 2023 homicide in which a man was shot outside a Family Dollar in northeast Columbus.

According to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, A man was shot while he and another individual were sitting in a car that was parked outside of a Dollar General store on Oakland Park Avenue in North Linden. Columbus police said that the victim was dropped off at Riverside Methodist Hospital on March 25, 2023, at 12:15 a.m.

Pedestrian killed after multi-vehicle crash on I-70 in east Columbus

Officers reported that 46-year-old Travis Rush and his friend heard gunshots and realized Rush had been shot. Rush remained hospitalized for two weeks and he was initially expected to survive his injuries. Rush’s condition deteriorated, police said, and he died on April 7.

The person who brought Rush to the hospital was unable to provide police with specifics on their location or circumstances surrounding the shooting. They were reportedly driving in a 2011 Kia Sorrento…
