COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A man is in custody following a police pursuit that ended with a crash in a backyard in Franklin County overnight.
The incident began when Franklin County deputies tried to stop a pickup truck on the west side of Columbus. The driver, however, left the scene, investigators said, prompting a pursuit that involved crews from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Columbus police.
The chase ended when the driver crashed through a fence in a backyard on North Murray Hill Road in Lincoln Village. A police cruiser, positioned behind the fence, sustained damage in the incident…
